Syria: Opposition to receive $1bn fund – Report
Three Arab countries are going to set up a one-billion-dollar fund to gather financial support for the anti-government armed groups in Syria, sources close to the Syrian National Coalition (SNC) said.
SNC leader Ahmad Jarba has been meeting regional Arab leaders and has been promised to receive support from at least three countries, an article published in the Saudi Al Watan newspaper wrote Monday.
According to the report, it has been decided to use the source to provide military needs of the opposition.
The source was quoted as saying that the SNC will announce setting up the fund soon.
