Djokovic’s mission is to change the bad image of Serbia in the world, created in 1990s. Many often jokingly say that Djokovic could be the president of Serbia in the future, however, Serbian tennis player says that he does not see himself in this role.

“I want to help my country in many ways but not as a politician! Novak Djokovic Foundation helps Serbia a lot by taking care of children with special needs, in order to provide them with proper education. We open kindergartens, playgrounds, we help institutions, and this means a lot to my country,” said Djokovic for daily “Sport 360″.

Speaking of tennis, Novak believes that this year was successful.

“I believe that the year was successful for me. I consistently played well and it makes me really happy. The truth is I had three heavy defeats in Grand Slam tournaments, so I will learn from these experiences and try to correct errors in 2014. The hardest was the loss to Rafael Nadal in the semi-final of Roland Garros. I wanted so much to defeat him, but that did not happen. However, Nadal showed how strong he is. I am really impressed with how he controlled the situation and returned to victories,” said Novak.
