The UN General Assembly decided that 2013 will be the International Year of Cooperation in the field of water. In Serbia, this event is celebrated by the Center for the Promotion of Science, in partnership with universities and research institutes at home and abroad, who will lead series of events dedicated to set this theme as central. Also, the participants will exchange experiences, and debate about finding and providing drinking water at home and abroad.

International day of the Danube, since 2004, on every June 29, highlights the importance of protection and conservation of this river and its tributaries. Thanks to the initiator of the celebration, the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River, and the joint action of various organizations, the Danube Day has grown into a manifestation in which more and more people are participating.
