BELGRADE – An independent association from Australia, Universitas 21, published in its report for this year a list of top 50 countries in terms of the quality of their national system of university education, and Serbia is ranked 32nd on that list, Tanjug reported.


The top 10 countries are: the U.S., Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Australia, Singapore and the UK. Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil were among the countries ranked below Serbia, the Ministry of Education has stated.

Universitas 21 is an international network of universities established as an international reference point of resources for strategic consideration of issues of global importance for the 21st century, the statement says, adding that the universities cooperate in basic and postgraduate studies, and that several hundreds of students are part of student exchange programmes each year.
