NEW YORK – Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci said at Tuesday’s United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting on Kosovo-Metohija that Pristina will soon bring a genocide claim against Serbia and request damages.

Thaci described as ridiculous the accusations that (Council of Europe Rapporteur on the human organ trafficking in Kosovo-Metohija) Dick Marty put forward in his report, but said that Pristina will support the establishment of the specialist court that will deal with those accusations, adding that this will be the fifth investigation into the accusations against the Kosovo Albanians.

Thaci dismissed the allegations concerning the aspirations to create a Greater Albania as groundless.

He noted that Belgrade and Pristina should soon recognize each other, which would enable Kosovo to join the UN, and bring Serbia closer to membership in the EU and NATO.
