SAINT PETERSBURG – Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has met with Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras in St. Petersburg to discuss setting up a joint company to construct a gas pipeline.
“The Serbian foreign minister and the Greek prime minister talked about an agreement between Greece and Russia on setting up a joint company to build a gas pipeline that should go from Russia to Turkey and pass through Serbia,” the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a release on Friday.
Dacic and Tsipras also touched on a planned visit by the prime minister to Serbia.
Tsipras said he would probably visit Serbia in July, or no later than September, according to the release.
The Greek prime minister said his visit to Serbia depended on Greece’s negotiations with financial institutions, the Foreign Ministry said.
