MOSCOW – Turkey gave permission to conduct engineering studies for underwater section of the pipeline “Turkish Stream”, said the Russian company “Gazprom” in a statement.
This document provides engineering studies of the first line of the gas pipeline in the exclusive economic zone and territorial waters of Turkey, news agency TASS reported.
Undersea section of the “Turkish Stream” will consist of four lines, and each will have capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters.
The pipeline will pass through a route of 660 kilometers of the “South Stream”, while 250 kilometers will go via new route to the European part of Turkey.
Turkey said that the results of the research of the impact on the environment, conducted for the construction of the “South Stream”, can be used during the construction of the new pipeline.
