KOSOVSKA MITROVICA- Muhamet Kelmendi, senior official in Ramus Haradinaj’s Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AFK), was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack in the northern, Serb part of Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo media report.


A Kosovo police special unit arrested Keljmendi in the southern, ethnic Albanian part of the northern Kosovo city.

Keljmendi was with two friends, both former members of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), whose identity has not been disclosed, at the time of the arrest.

AFK spokesman Ernest Luma told Klan Kosova TV that Keljmendi had been arrested and that he was currently at the Directorate for the fight against terrorism and serious crimes in Pristina.
