PRISTINA – Around 10 thousand immigrants are expected to return to Kosovo form EU countries. Most of them fled during the end of December of last year and the beginning of this year, Gazeta Express reports.
Director of the department for residency, asylum and migration from the Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs, Valon Krasniqi, said that Germany, France and Austria have the largest number of immigrants from Kosovo.
Immigrants who fled last December and the first months of this year will not be eligible to state aid after their return. According to him, it is expected that 10 thousand immigrants will be returned to Kosovo by the end of the year.
A few days ago, the German Foreign Minister said that the Balkans citizens’ migration towards Europe is a shameful act.
According to the latest data from Eurostat, out of 13 thousand asylum applicants from Albania, only 1040 were given the refugee status, compared to 830 positive replies to Kosovo residents.
