BELGRADE – The dinar remained stable against the euro on Tuesday, so the official middle exchange rate stands at RSD 120.1321, the National Bank of Serbia has said in a release.
Against the single European currency, the Serbian national currency is 0.4 percent up on the month, and 3.2 percent down on the year.
The indicative dinar-to-dollar exchange rate has strengthened by 0.1 percent to RSD 110.8639.
Against the U.S. dollar, the dinar has dropped by 4.2 percent in comparison to the level a month ago and 22.6 percent compared to a year ago.
The dinar hit this year’s lowest against the euro on January 29, when one euro exchanged for RSD 123.57 and reached its highest rate on March 20, when one euro was worth RSD 119.95.
Since the beginning of the year, the central bank has sold EUR 120 million and bought EUR 620 million on the interbank forex market in order to prevent excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.
