GUCA – The traditional Guca Trumpet Festival will start on Monday and last until August 9, and the organizers said that the event will bring together more than half a million people.

“For now, we have foreign guests from France, Russia, Slovenia and Macedonia,” Jolovic told Tanjug.

He announced that the biggest trumpet festival in the Balkans will be officially opened by Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.

The host also said that the event will see performances of the orchestras led by Dejan Petrovic, Dejan Lazarevic and Dejan Jevdjica.

“Also, the visitors will attend concerts by Goran Bregovic, Sanja Ilic Balkanika, Ekrem Mamutovic, Marko Markovic and Elvis Ajdinovic,” Jolovic noted.

Guca has been the “capital of trumpet” since 1961, when the festival was first held.
