BELGRADE – U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby, who will hand over to his successor in 2016, said Tuesday that he had very good cooperation with the Serbian government and could not understand why some people thought he wanted to bring it down.
Speaking on a TV B92 talk show, Kirby said that he had good personal and business relationships with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, stressing, however, that the United States had to have a working relationship with the Serbian government whoever may be heading it.
We want to cooperate with Serbia and with the people Serbia choose for their leaders. We will have a good working relationship with any government that comes to power, said Kirby.
