LIVERPOOL – Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic has signed for English football giants Liverpool FC, the five-time European champions confirmed on their official website.

Grujic will be loaned out to Red Star until the end of the season and move to Anfield in the summer, the announcement said.

Grujic is understood to have signed a five-year deal worth EUR 7 million, with Red Star to get EUR 6 million as the loan itself is worth EUR 1 million.

Grujic, a member of the U-20 Serbia side that won the World Cup title in New Zealand, is also one of the players who deserve the most credit for Red Star’s massive league table lead after the first part of the Serbian Superliga season.
