KOSOVSKA MITROVICA – Leader of the Citizen Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic will remain under house arrest for another month, until February 17.


Ivanovic’s spouse Milena Popovic Ivanovic said in a statement to Tanjug that the measure had this time been extended for one month, and not for two, adding that the ruling would be probably delivered on Thursday.

On Monday, the defense attorneys of the three Serbs facing charges related to the Ivanovic case are giving their closing arguments.

Ivanovic is on trial for a war crime against civilians that he allegedly committed during 1999-2000.

The indictment includes retired colonel at the Serbia interior ministry Dragoljub Delibasic, also under house arrest, father and son Ilija and Nebojsa Vujacic and Aleksandar Lazovic who are charged with a murder and attempted murder and have been released pending a verdict.
