Serbia loses to Poland in first EC match

KRAKOW – The Serbia men’s national handball team lost to Poland 29-28 (14-15) in the European Championship Group A Round 1 in Krakow late Friday.

In front of 15,000 Polish supporters, Serbia head coach Dejan Peric’s men played an even game against the hosts, who eventually prevailed in a thrilling finish to chalk up a win at the start of the tournament.

Serbia will next play France on Sunday.
