BELGRADE – Serbian Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic received a farewell visit from U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby on Wednesday and thanked him for the U.S. government helping Serbia, particularly when it comes to creating a favorable business environment and attracting investors from the United States.
Kirby voiced confidence that the Serbian government would continue pursuing economic reforms and said that the US would continue helping Serbia, according to a release from the Ministry of Economy.
Sertic also met with Finland’s Ambassador to Serbia Pertti Ikonen today, to discuss ways to improve economic cooperation between Serbia and Finland.
Ikonen showed interest in knowing more about the privatization process in Serbia and newly adopted economy-related pieces of legislation, particularly about the investment law.
