BELGRADE – By delivering M270 ballistic missiles to Croatia, the US wants to pressure Serbia into deciding in favour of joining broader Euro-Atlantic integration and giving up on the policy of neutrality, says Marko Custic, editor-in-chief of Croatia’s military magazine Defender.

“That is the only reason why Croatia will get the M270 ballistic rockets from the US”, Custic said in a statement to Tanjug.

He said that he understands the reactions from Serbia, which have been very negative.

“I do not think that it is a rocket that Croatia would use against Serbia. However, the system is creating an imbalance in power,” he explained.

Custic’s magazine also reported on Friday that Croatia is in talks with Norway about purchasing a NASAMS missile system for its armed forces.

  1. Am I mistaken, but USA may have illegally bombed and invaded Serbia, given a large part of this country away to Kosovo Albanians, it has demonised Serbia the world over and dragged every Serb it could locate and find and arrested them for war crimes whilst sitting back and letting every war criminal from all other combatant countries during the Balkan War walk free without one threat of arrest. but I do not recall USA owning Serbia. If Serbia wants to remain neutral, then what the hell has it to do with USA – or – is it because Serbia and Russia are close, and therefore, like a jealous and bitter school child, USA will continue its tantrums until it gets its own way, sort notch on the bed post mentality.
