PODGORICA – Serbia will never interfere in Montenegro’s internal affairs, and Montenegro’s joining of NATO cannot have a negative effect on the ties between the two countries or regional relations, says Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.

“Serbia will be joining no military alliance, while Montenegro has been invited to NATO and wants to join that alliance,” the Serbian prime minister has told Podgorica-based Pobjeda.

Serbia is not interfering in Montenegro’s internal affairs and “has good bilateral relations with Montenegro, which we want to enhance,” Vucic said.

“Serbia remains militarily neutral and it will continue the cooperation with Russia, but the European Union remains an objective nonetheless,” Vucic said.

  1. This NATO agenda is completely undemocratic as they are trying to deny the citizens the necessary referendum. Of course Vucic’s statements devoid of self respect don’t help, it’s not like Serbia is asked to join in that referendum. That would be a very isolated position for Serbia to be surrounded by members of a military alliance that is known for aggression on its soil, with even its historical twin in. Montenegro wouldn’t be any use to NATO anyway. Then again, it’s not surprising that Vucic doesn’t point out the need for referendum as that would expose his lack of clothes in that respect.
