BELGRADE – Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic met with representatives of student organisations of the Belgrade and Pristina universities who last year launched a campaign under the slogan “No Kosovo UNESCO” in relation to Kosovo’s membership bid.

Dacic thanked the students for their great contribution to Serbia’s victory in UNESCO, the line ministry said in a statement.

Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) is the cradle of Serbian culture, the minister and students said, agreeing that those who had treated the monuments improperly could not be trusted to look after them.

The foreign minister said he would visit the Serbian cultural monuments in Kosovo-Metohija over the next month and accept the invitation to talk with students in KiM about various initiatives for KiM to become a member of UNESCO and other international organisations.
