MALAGA – Red Star Belgrade staged a fantastic comeback to defeat Unicaja Malaga 78-72 (12-20, 15-23, 26-17, 25-12) in the Euroleague Basketball Top 16 Group E Round 11 game on Friday.

Head coach Dejan Radonjic’s men overcame a 19-point deficit and are now second in the group table with seven wins and four defeats.

However, the Serbian champions still need one win in the remaining three games to seal a quarter-final spot.

Marko Simonovic (12 points) was one of the heroes of the game with three three-pointers scored in the crucial moments, and was followed by Stefan Jovic (16 points) and Marko Guduric (11 points).

Red Star Belgrade will face Lokomotiv Kuban in Krasnodar in the next round on Thursday.
