BELGRADE – Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric condemned on Friday attacks on vehicles distributing goods from central Serbia in the province, warning that such incidents could jeopardise the cooperation between the chambers of commerce and businessmen that had been so hard to establish.

Earlier on Friday, activists of Kosovo’s opposition Self-Determination Movement admitted they had again overturned a truck carrying Serbian goods near Pristina.

This is a second such incident in just one week, so now it is clear this is an organised campaign that could have dangerous and far-reaching consequences, Djuric said.

Noting that in the normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations efficient economic cooperation is of key importance, he said the attackers wished to cause a wider destabilisation, the Office said in a release.
