BELGRADE – Serbia’s Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met with U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott, with whom he talked about ways to improve economic cooperation between the two countries and future joint projects in the area of telecommunications and information technologies.

Ljajic and Scott believe that a project to introduce wireless Internet into all primary and secondary schools in Serbia and connect them into a single information system network, which should be jointly implemented by the Serbian government and the U.S. company CISCO, will be a great help on the way to applying the highest world standards in Serbia’s education system.

Ljajic expressed his gratitude to the U.S. embassy for providing expert assistance in drafting the recently adopted Law on Information Security, the government’s media relations office said in a release.
