BELGRADE – A state of emergency has been declared in Cacak, Topola, Bajina Basta, Pozega, Novi Pazar, Arilje and Lucani due to massive rainfall and overflowing rivers and streams, with regular flood defence levels exceeded in many riparian zones.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic visited the hardest-hit areas around Cacak Monday, pledging that the government will send assistance on Tuesday, when it will also hold an urgent session.
