BELGRADE – The family, friends, party colleagues and citizens paid homage to prime minister Zoran Djindjic, by wreath-laying and candle-lighting at his grave in the Alley of the Greats in New Belgrade on Saturday.

The widow of the late prime minister, Ruzica Djindjic, laid flowers at his grave together with their son Luka.

Leader of the Democratic Party (DS) Bojan Pajtic and party officials also honoured the memory of Djindjic.

On behalf of the Serbian government, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic laid a wreath at the memorial plaque in the courtyard of the government building on Saturday morning, in memory of former prime minister Zoran Djindjic.

The wreath-laying ceremony also brought together members of the government.

Former prime minister and leader of the Democratic Party (DS) Zoran Djindjic was assassinated 13 years ago at the entrance to the government building.
