BELGRADE – There is no reason to fear terrorist attacks in Serbia at the moment, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday.
After a meeting with Chairman of the Bundestag Committee on the Affairs of the European Union Gunther Krichbaum, the Serbian prime minister said that the Bureau for the Coordination of Security Services would meet in the following days, adding that he would talk with the president to convene the National Security Council as well.
Because of the migrant crisis and recent severe flooding, the Serbian Armed Forces are still on high alert, but the authorities will consider even better protection measures, the prime minister noted.
“The best we can do is to show that we are not afraid, take measures, protect people and destroy this plague,” Vucic said.
“Our job is to protect the borders, facilities and population,” Vucic said, adding that all possible measures will be taken to prevent any attacks.
