BELGRADE – Serbian Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Aleksandar Vulin said Friday that the visit the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall had paid to Serbia was a reflection of their respect for the country they were visiting, which was very good for Serbia.

Replying to a journalist’s question about the importance of the visit and what kind of message it was sending, Vulin said that every visit of the Great Britain’s Royal Family was a reflection of respect for the country they were visiting, adding that it was good for Serbia.

“What we have seen and heard is that the United Kingdom is greatly interested in this region, and is seeing us as a key country in the region without which there can be no stability in the Western Balkans,” Vulin said in the Serbian government after a conference of the Social and Economic Council .

Vulin added that he did not attend the reception for the Royal Family at the Serbian parliament the day before as was taking part in a solemn academy commemorating the 12th anniversary of the pogrom in Kosovo-Metohija, which happened on March 17, 2004, at that time.

  1. A fitting summary, indeed Prince Charles has reflected the love and respect that Britons have for Serbia and the friendship we have and shared for years of history. This will never end the roots of allegiance is strong, between two people’s, not politics, it is hands of love and friendship.
