BELGRADE – Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has announced that he will soon visit Belgrade.
I promise that I will very soon fulfil a kind invitation by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to visit Belgrade, Tsipras wrote for Belgrade’s NIN weekly in a letter dated April 14.
Tsipras, who was a guest at an “editorial summit” organised in Munich by the media company Axel Springer, highlighted the closeness of Serbs and Greeks.
I would like to express my best wishes for the citizens of Serbia – I know that we share the same principles and values and that we have been on the same side in difficult times in our recent past, Tsipras also wrote.
Serbia and Greece have fought together to enhance peace and justice, noted Tsipras, adding that he admires Serbian culture.
