BARCELONA – Serbia secured its spot in the 2016 FINA Men’s Water Polo World League Super Final in China, after defeating Spain 14-13 (4-3, 4-3, 1-4, 5-3) in the fifth and penultimate round of preliminaries in Barcelona late on Tuesday.

Scorers for Serbia were Stefan Mitrovic with three goals and Filip Filipovic, Dusko Pijetlovic and Slobodan Nikic with two goals each.

Unbeaten Serbia holds the top position in Group B, and will play Montenegro in the last round on May 10.

The Super Final will be held on June 21-26.
Serbia are bidding for a fourth consecutive title.
