BELGRADE – Belgrade City Assembly member Milan Jankovic on Friday laid a wreath at a memorial outside Belgrade’s Dragisa Misovic hospital centre in commemoration of the victims of a NATO air attack that took place 17 years ago today.

NATO planes fired missiles at the hospital at 8 am, May 20, 1999, killing three patients and seven Yugoslav Army guardsmen.

Today we remember the soldiers and the patients killed by the NATO aggressor, Jankovic said.

“Today we want to remind future generations of the aggression we experienced in 1999 so that we may never forget,” the Beoinfo portal quoted Jankovic as saying.
