BRUSSELS – The EU is working at its headquarters in Brussels to ensure holding a new round of dialogue at the highest political level between Belgrade and Pristina, but this will happen only after a new government is set up in Belgrade, Tanjug was told in Brussels Tuesday.
The High Representative, Federica Mogherini, is in contact with both sides to ensure steps are made that would lead to progress in the implementation of what has been agreed, Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for the European Commission (EC), told Tanjug.
The European Commission say that implementation of the agreements reached at the last meeting between Prime Ministers Alekasandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa in January is of utmost priority.
As Tanjug learned from diplomatic sources in Brussels, the EU continues to insist on full implementation of what has been agreed in the dialogue, which, they say, is not the case right now.
The sources also said that High Representative Mogherini would not convene a new round of dialogue until the appointment of a new prime minister in Serbia.
In the meanwhile, Belgrade and Pristina will be holding technical level talks in Brussels
