BELGRADE – Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki and USAID Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Thomas Melia said on Friday they were satisfied with the process of drafting, passing and implementing the law on inspection oversight.

This law solves one of the biggest obstacles for creating a business-friendly environment – inspection system, which was previously poorly coordinated and focused on penalties, not on prevention efforts, the line ministry said in a release.

Melia is visiting Serbia to consider the results USAID Mission has achieved so far and discuss future plans and programs.
