PRAVETS – Croatian Foreign Minister Miro Kovac has said that Croatia has ensured that its demands are included in accession negotiations between Serbia and the European Union, the Hina news agency reported.
On sidelines of Tuesday’s meeting of foreign ministers of the South-East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Bulgaria, Kovac told reporters that Croatia could be satisfied with what it had achieved on the issue.
“Without the mentioned criteria, there will be no progress in that respect. That is why Croatia will now allow for authorities to start defining transitional measures for Chapters 23 and 24 in negotiations with Serbia,” the Croatian minister said.
This means formulating measures for the opening of negotiation chapters, Kovac added.
Asked how much time that would take, Kovac said it could be completed by the end of June.
