RIO DE JANEIRO – Serbian female long jumper Ivana Spanovic won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday with a 7.08m leap, also setting a new national record.

The United States’ Tianna Bartoletta (7.17m) and Brittney Reese (7.15m) won the gold and the silver, respectively.

Spanovic claimed the third medal for Serbia at the Rio Olympics – it is also the first Olympic medal for Serbian athletics in 60 years.
