BELGRADE – German Chancellor Angela Merkel has congratulated Aleksandar Vucic on his election as Serbian prime minister, affirming the German government’s future support for Serbia and noting that important tasks – continuation of reforms, regional reconciliation and normalisation of relations with Kosovo – were ahead for him.

The German federal government will also in the future strongly assist your country and continue to support you on the European path, Merkel wrote in a congratulatory message.

She noted she was pleased with her meeting with Vucic on the sidelines of a July 4 Western Balkans conference in Paris, adding that she would be very glad to continue the close cooperation with him, the Press Office of the Government of Serbia said in a statement.

  1. Is this the same Angela Merkel who has lost total control not of her own country but almost the entire EU which she rules and presides over. Does she really inspire confidence and good judgement? For Serbia Merkel is bad news, for EU she has proven to be disaster.

  2. What else do you expect from a Polish Ashkenazi ? She was awarded to lead the all people that are incompetent to lead themselves !
As we continue degrading our very own culture and standards, we enhance their Wealth and their position to lead over the BAAAAA !
