BELGRADE – Serbia wants peace and stability but also expects the EU to take a clear position on developments in the region over the past months, Deputy PM Nebojsa Stefanovic said Thursday, announcing that EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn would attend a government session on Saturday.
Hahn’s visit is significant because all that has been going on in the past several months requires serious discussions and a clarification of a situation that has been a burden on the region, he said.
Hahn will attend a government session on Saturday that will address all significant topics, he told the RTS.
“Our message is clear: Serbia wants peace and stability in the country and the region as a prerequisite for continuing economic reforms and growth. That is very important for Serbia and we want to discuss all such matters with Hahn as openly as possible,” he said.
