BELGRADE – I respect EC President Jean-Claude Juncker but I cannot stand false symmetries, PM Aleksandar Vucic said Thursday, commenting on Juncker’s response to his letter warning top EU officials of a growing anti-Serb policy in the region, in Croatia in particular.
“I will say nothing more because I respect Juncker very much. I will not say anything about the content of the letter,” Vucic told reporters.
“I cannot stand it when everything is equated and false symmetries and balances are made,” Vucic said.
“That is also the answer to the dilemmas why we do not want to respond to Croatia or anyone else,” he said.
We are silent in the face of insults “not because we are weak, but because we are strong enough to take care of our future,” he said.
Juncker urged all countries in the region to respect the principles of good-neighbourly relations and renew dialogue.
