BELGRADE – In Serbia, there is Russian as well as Western soft power, but we are an independent, sovereign country, and no attempts of destabilising Serbia will change our strategic path and our decision where we are heading to, says PM Aleksandar Vucic.
Commenting on a statement by the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Michael Davenport, that Russian soft power was visible in Serbia, Vucic said it was definitely present, but added that so was Western soft power, manifested in funding for many NGOs.
“Everyone is interested in this region, and we are interested in protecting our country. We are an independent and sovereign country,” Vucic said on an RTS talk show.
“There will be attempts of destabilisation, and they will fail again. But that will not change our strategic path and our decision where we are heading to,” Vucic said.
