BELGRADE – Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said he believes that the possibility of unification Albania and Kosovo – “Greater Albania” – belongs to the past, writes Serbian daily “Kurir”.
Rama said this on Monday in an interview for “Al Jazeera”, when asked to comment on the possible unification of Kosovo and Albania.
“That was never our goal, because I strongly believe that “Greater Albania”, “Greater Serbia”, or any other “greater” belong to the past. It was never an option, it simply belongs to the past, said Rama.
When asked why is it important for Albanian Prime Minister that Belgrade recognizes Kosovo’s independence, Rama said that it is very important for people, as for citizens of Albania, as well as for Kosovo Albanians and Serbs.
