BELGRADE – Serbia has a lasting commitment to developing bilateral relations with Albania as a significant partner in the region, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic said at a meeting with Albanian counterpart Edi Rama Thursday, expressing the belief the development of Serbia-Albania ties was contributing to overall stability in the Western Balkans, which he said was a mutual interest.

Vucic and Rama discussed bilateral relations, economic cooperation, the migrant crisis and regional relations.

Vucic highlighted the significance of strengthening economic cooperation, noting that trade, energy, infrastructure and agriculture offered potential in this regard.

Joint implementation of projects as part of the Berlin Process – especially infrastructure projects such as the motorway that will connect Nis, Pristina, Tirana and Durres – is exceptionally important, Vucic said.
