BELGRADE – We are staying on the European course and we will not be imposing sanctions on Russia, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic said Tuesday in response to a public dilemma whether developments related to the Trepca mining complex and Telekom Srbija property in Kosovo would result in a change of Serbia’s policy.

Leaving no room for doubt in this regard, Vucic said Serbia was ready for a compromise if others were ready, too.

“There will be a compromise because it is important that we move forward and think about the future,” Vucic told a press conference in the Serbian government.

This is about our future and not about us beating our chests, as that will not pay pensions and salaries or attract new investments, Vucic said.

Vucic said Serbia must continue to speak with Europe and with everyone, as well as continue to pursue its economic policy, Vucic said.
