BELGRADE – Former Cuban President Fidel Castro has died aged 90, local media reported.

His body will be cremated under his own will, the Prensa Latina news agency reported, citing incumbent Cuban President Raul Castro, Fidel Castro’s brother.

During his years in power, Castro reportedly survived more than 600 assassination attempts by the US government, Cuban exile groups and the US mafia.
