BELGRADE – Serbia’s Defense Ministry said dozens of weapons and piles of ammunition have gone missing from a military warehouse in Belgrade.

In a statement issued on November 17, the ministry said the disappearance was noticed during a regular checkup at a garrison in the capital.

The ministry said the missing weapons included 70 handguns, five automatic rifles, and two crates of ammunition. It did not say how long the weapons had been missing or even when the discovery was made.
