Chocolate war continues: Serbian candy congratulates holidays on billboards in Zagreb

BELGRADE – Serbian company over whose chocolates started “Chocolate Balkan War” decided to advertise in Croatia.

Subotica based company “Pionir” placed several advertising billboards for “Mony”, chocolates given by Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic to children in Dubrovnik.

“Have you seen our billboards in Zagreb?” the company asked its followers on Twitter with a wink smiley.

On the occasion of the “ChoKolinda Affair”, Subotica confectioner reacted several days ago by posting a photo with a clear message: “Stay calm and take Mony”.

The president of Croatia has issued a public apology for handing out packages of sweets that included Serbia-made chocolate to children in Dubrovnik. Grabar Kitarovic said she was “unpleasantly surprised” to learn the packages distributed in Dubrovnik included the Serbian chocolate product after the children’s parents complained.
