BELGRADE – Serbian FM Ivica Dacic met with Sergey Lavrov in Belgrade on Monday, noting his Russian counterpart’s visit to Serbia was another step in the development of the brotherly ties between their two countries.

Lavrov is one of the dearest guests in Serbia, Dacic said at the beginning of the meeting, to which Lavrov responded he felt at home and as among friends in Serbia.

Lavrov said he had also met with Serbia’s PM Aleksandar Vucic and President Tomislav Nikolic earlier in the day, adding that he would discuss with Dacic bilateral matters and international cooperation.

I appreciate our contacts, which are helping both Serbia and Russia, Lavrov said, adding that he was appreciative of Dacic’s personal contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
