The International Court of Justice in The Hague rejected the request for revision of a judgement submitted to the court on 25 February by Sakib Softic, in the name of the Bosniaks led by Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic.
Head of OSCE in BiH Jonathan Moore called on all political actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina to respect the decision of the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
“I hope that this decision of the Court in The Hague will lead to a calming of political passions within BiH and that we will all go back to the essential problems of the citizens,” said President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska.
The news of the rejection of the request for revision upset the Bosniaks, who are disappointed with this decision and believe that it was made due to legal blockade of Croats and Serbs in BiH, but there are also those who question whether Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic, who initiated this procedure, now resign.
President of SBB BiH Fahrudin Radoncic said that he is sad because of the decision of the ICJ and called on Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovic to draw political conclusion about his personal political position.
“As far as Izetbegovic who, at the famous meeting with 50 responsible persons, assured us that the Bosniak side and his team have all the legal arguments, I expect him to explain to Bosniaks and victims why he had a wrong assessment and from it derive a political conclusion about his personal political position,” said Radoncic.
Hatidza Mehmedovic, president of the Association “Mothers of Srebrenica” believes that this decision is a disgrace for the international community and the whole world, saying that in the future she will pray that the whole world experience, as she said, “everything Srebrenica had”.
