Serbia’s national tennis team is through to the Davis Cup semifinals after beating Spain 4-1 in Belgrade at the weekend.
Albert Ramos Vinolas beat Nenad Zimonjic 6-2, 6-1 on Sunday in the last singles match of the tie.
Previously, Dusan Lajovic beat Jaume Munar (2-1), while in the doubles – the match that decided on the outcome of the tie as it gave Serbia a 3-0 lead, Nenad Zimonjic and Viktor Troicki did better than Marc Lopez and Pablo Carreno Busta (3-2).
On Friday, Troicki beat Busta, while Novak Djokovic defeated Vinolas in the opening match.
Serbia will face France in mid-September in the Davis Cup semis.
