EU would not be able to survive the effects of Marine Le Pen’s victory in the presidential elections in France, French PM Bernard Cazeneuve has warned.

“The EU, weakened by Brexit, could not withstand another shock in the form of the coming to power in France of a government that is openly europhobic,” he wrote for the leftist newspaper Liberation, in a column that will be published on Tuesday.

Cazeneuve again urged citizens to vote for Emmanuel Macron in the May 7 runoff.

The newspaper, meanwhile, has announced that it will publish a 16-page special edition against Le Pen’s National Front.
