Acting head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Oskar Benedikt says he “hopes Serbia will not hold elections” in the coming period.

The country would in that way focus on reforms, he said.

“Lately, elections have been held in Serbia every year, which means the coming to power of a new government, and that slows down reforms,” Benedikt said during an event at Vienna Economic Talks – Belgrade Meeting 2017.

“We hope that now, after the presidential election, there will be no election in the coming period, so we can focus fully on reforms,” he concluded.
