Around 676,000 unemployed people have been registered in Serbia so far this year – 7.96 percent down on 2016.

This is according to Dario Mackic, president of the managing board of the National Employment Service (NSZ).

He told reporters on Friday that about 34,000 unemployed persons have been included in the institution’s measures and programs in the first quarter of the year, 95 percent of whom have low education.

Mackic added that the NSZ plans to include 131,000 more people in these programs during 2017.
