Ramush Haradinaj says he will stand for “economic development and the rule of law” after his “victory in (early parliamentary) elections.”
Haradinaj is a candidate for prime minister of Kosovo.
According to the Pristina newspaper Zeri, quoted by the Beta agency, Haradinaj also said he will advocate in favor of the involvement of the United States in the Kosovo dialogue.
He said that the dialogue with Belgrade will continue, but that Pristina seeks the United States to join.
“We ask that the US has a role in the dialogue. The dialogue is for us a recognition of Kosovo, a conversation between two independent states, between two neighbors. In no scenario do we see it as a conversation about domestic issues in Kosovo,” he said.
According to Haradinaj, the current “era” of the discussions is over.
“We gave it a chance, but obviously there is a deadlock,” he told Voice of America.
